Lovable vs Fabrement
Lovable and Fabrement both turn plain language into a working website, so they get compared. They answer different needs: Lovable builds a web app with its own AI agent and hosts it, Fabrement lets your own AI agent build a WordPress site on the host you already use.
The short answer
Lovable calls itself a full-stack AI development platform for building, iterating on and deploying web applications. Its own agent builds the app from your prompts, Lovable hosts it, and you keep editing through its chat and visual editor, paid in credits. The code is yours: it syncs to GitHub and can be hosted elsewhere.
Fabrement is a free plugin. It turns any WordPress 6.9 site into an MCP server, so the AI agent you already use (ChatGPT, Claude, Codex or Cursor) builds native Gutenberg blocks, templates, post types and fields on your own host, on one design system. The site stays WordPress: your team edits it in the block editor, or in plain language from an AI chat.
Key takeaways
- An app builder or a WordPress plugin. Lovable builds and hosts web apps. Fabrement works inside a WordPress site on any host with WordPress 6.9, PHP 8.0 and HTTPS.
- Whose AI does the work. In Lovable its own agent builds, paid in credits, even when you send instructions from Claude or ChatGPT through its MCP server. With Fabrement your own agent builds, with no credits and no per-action charge.
- Where the content lives. Lovable documents no built-in blog or content editor; content goes into database tables or an outside CMS. Fabrement builds on WordPress, with posts, custom post types, fields and the block editor.
- Where each is ahead. Lovable has hosting included, databases and sign-in through Lovable Cloud, and payments. Fabrement has the WordPress content model, Yoast SEO and multilingual sites on WPML.
- Price. Lovable has a free plan with 5 credits a day and paid plans from $25 a month. The Fabrement plugin is free; you pay your host and your own AI plan.

How to read the table: Yes is a stated feature. Partly, not the main workflow means it is possible, but not what the product is built for. No means the product does not offer it.
| Lovable | Fabrement | |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A full-stack AI platform for building and deploying web apps, with its own AI agent | A free plugin that turns a WordPress site into an MCP server for your own AI agent |
| Made by | Lovable | 7Fridays |
| Adoption | 25 million+ projects created in its first year, by its own count (December 2025) | Our own tool, used by our team in everyday client work |
| What it builds | A web app: React and Vite for older projects; apps created since May 2026 use TanStack Start with server-side rendering; the backend runs on Lovable Cloud | A custom WordPress theme: native Gutenberg blocks with editor fields, headers, footers and templates, on one design system |
| Where it runs | Hosted by Lovable on a lovable.app address, custom domain on paid plans; the code can be exported and hosted elsewhere | Any WordPress 6.9+ site with PHP 8.0+ and HTTPS, on any host |
| Which AI does the work | Lovable’s own agent, paid in credits | Your own agent: ChatGPT, Claude or Codex with OAuth, Cursor or any MCP client, on your own plan |
| Connect your own AI client over MCP | Partly, not the main workflow: Lovable’s MCP server lets ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor and others send instructions, but Lovable’s own agent still does the building and uses Lovable credits | Yes: the plugin is the MCP server, and your agent does the building |
| Editing afterwards | Chat (credits), visual edits in the preview (100 free inline text edits a day), code editing on paid plans, two-way GitHub sync | Your AI agent, the block editor or the chat in wp-admin; every block change is a version |
| Blog and content editing | Partly, not the main workflow: no built-in blog or content editor is documented; content goes into database tables or an outside CMS such as Contentful, Sanity or WordPress | Yes: WordPress posts and pages in the block editor, custom post types with filterable archive pages, custom fields and options pages |
| SEO | Yes: server-rendered pages for apps created since May 2026 (older apps are pre-rendered for verified crawlers), and a built-in SEO and AI search review | Yes: Yoast SEO titles, descriptions and schema, per page or per post type |
| Multilingual | Partly, not the main workflow: no built-in translation is documented for built sites; possible through an outside CMS such as Storyblok | Yes, with WPML: pages and their content, menus, post types, taxonomies, fields and SEO, translated by asking your agent in plain language over MCP |
| Ecommerce | Yes: Shopify stores, and built-in Stripe or Paddle payments on paid plans | No; WooCommerce support is planned |
| Databases and user sign-in | Yes: database, sign-in, storage and functions through Lovable Cloud | No: not part of the plugin; WordPress users and plugins cover what a website needs |
| Code ownership | Yes: two-way GitHub sync on all plans, .zip download on paid plans; database and files are exported separately | Yes: block code is PHP, CSS and JS you can read; it renders through the plugin |
| Price | Free: 5 credits a day, up to 30 a month; Pro from $25 a month for 100 credits; Business from $50 a month | Plugin free; your own host and AI plan; the chat in wp-admin starts with a free credit |
Who each one suits. Lovable suits people who want to go from an idea to a working app quickly, with hosting, a database and sign-in in one place, and who are happy to build in its chat. Fabrement suits people who need a WordPress site: a blog, a catalogue or a content team, search history to keep, and the AI they already pay for.
Can you use both?
Yes, and it is a common path: design in Lovable, then build the site on WordPress, as in our Cowboy Productions case study; the steps are in our Lovable to WordPress guide. Lovable is quick at turning an idea into a look; WordPress keeps the content, the blog and the search history. Lovable’s own documentation covers moving its code to other hosting, not to WordPress, so the design is rebuilt as blocks rather than copied as code.
Frequently asked questions
Is Fabrement a Lovable alternative?
For some projects. Lovable builds web apps with its own AI agent and hosts them, paid in credits. Fabrement lets your own AI agent, such as ChatGPT, Claude, Codex or Cursor, build a WordPress site of native Gutenberg blocks on the host you already use. If the project needs WordPress, with its editor, blog, content types and SEO tools, Fabrement is the closer fit. If you want an app built and hosted in one place, that is what Lovable does.
Can I turn a Lovable design into a WordPress site?
Yes. Show your agent the Lovable design, for example the live preview or screenshots of each page, and it builds every section as a native Gutenberg block on your design system, then assembles the pages. Existing WordPress content can stay where it is. In our Cowboy Productions case study, a new design made in Lovable replaced an Elementor site in 12 hours, with 16 pages, 34 posts and 77 projects carried over.
Which costs less, Lovable or Fabrement?
It depends on what you already pay for. Lovable has a free plan with 5 credits a day, and paid plans from $25 a month for 100 credits, with hosting included. The Fabrement plugin is free, but you pay for your own hosting and your own AI plan, such as ChatGPT or Claude. If you already have both, Fabrement adds nothing to the bill, and there are no credits to run out of.
