Terms of Use – Fabrement

These Terms of Use cover the Fabrement plugin (“the Plugin”) and the Fabrement service at api.fabrement.com that it works with (“the Service”). By installing and using the Plugin, or by creating a Fabrement account, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not install or use the Plugin. Fabrement is built and operated by 7Fridays INC. (“we”).

The Plugin is free

  • Fabrement is provided free of charge. There is no purchase, no subscription and no per-site fee.
  • You connect your own AI provider and pay that provider directly for what you use. Every new account starts with a small amount of free credit.
  • You may use the Plugin on as many websites as you need, including websites you build for clients.
  • Generating and storing blocks, templates and designs uses the Service and needs a free Fabrement account. You can manage your site’s content with the Plugin without one.

Ownership

  • The Plugin is © 7Fridays INC. and is licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later (GPL). The GPL, not these Terms, governs how you may use, study, modify and share the Plugin’s code.
  • The blocks, templates and layouts you generate belong to you. You may download, reuse and modify them without restriction, including in projects that do not use the Plugin. Moving them out is a manual step today; an automated export to your theme is planned.
  • While the Plugin is installed it is what renders those blocks on your pages.

Permitted use

  • You may use the Plugin to create and manage Gutenberg blocks, headers, footers and templates on your WordPress websites.
  • You may not use the Plugin or the Service in violation of applicable laws or regulations.
  • You may not misuse the Service, for example by trying to get around its limits or free credit, or by disrupting it for other users.

Third-party services

The Service passes AI generation requests to the provider in use: Google Gemini, OpenAI or Anthropic, with your own key once your free credit is used up. The Plugin also connects to Figma when you import a design, and loads your design system’s fonts from Google Fonts unless they are installed on your site. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies, and you are responsible for any charges they bill you. Our Privacy Policy explains what is sent where.

Updates and support

Updates to the Plugin come through WordPress’s own update system. They appear under Dashboard → Updates and on the Plugins screen, where you decide when to install them, or WordPress installs them for you if you have turned on automatic updates for the Plugin. We provide support through the channels published on this website. We may change or discontinue any part of the Plugin, the Service or its support at any time.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Plugin and the Service are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Content generated by an AI provider should be reviewed before you publish it.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for any damages arising from the use of, or inability to use, the Plugin or the Service, including loss of data, profits or business opportunities.

Termination

You may stop using the Plugin and remove it at any time, and you can have your Fabrement account deleted by writing to [email protected], as our Privacy Policy describes. We may suspend or close your Fabrement account if you breach these Terms. That does not affect the rights the GPL gives you to the Plugin’s code.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. The current version is always published on this page.
